FOUNDATION LEVEL: Introductory experience required
Location: This class is offered at our Jantzen Beach Portland location or at the Columbia Pool.
This class introduces bow rescues, and intuitive rolling. The edge and brace class or equivalent is a prerequisite to the rolling class. This class is usually repeated in order to achieve mastery. We maintain a 2:1 student to instructor ratio.
Classes are taught every other week in the winter and by request in the summer.

Comfort under water waiting for a rescue

Building the intuitive roll

Gain understanding of how blade angle and body position effect the efficiency of rolling
In the pool, You Will Need:
- Retention device for your glasses(i.e. Croakies, Chums, etc)
- Synthetic top (thermal underwear)
- Rain coat and rain pants
- Nylon shorts and/or swimsuit
- Towel and change of clothes for ride home
Optional Gear:
- Nose plugs
- Swim goggles
Meeting Place/Directions:
This class meets most commonly at either the Columbia Pool our Portland store. You will receive detailed instructions and a map with your confirmation packet.
