2 1/2 Day
Adult: $250 or with Full Immersion 1 for $450
Class Schedule

ALL PADDLING GEAR PROVIDED
Previous experience required, Full Immersion 1 or equivalent is a prerequisite.

This class is offered at our Portland and Bend locations.


Full Immersion Kayak 2 picks up where Full Immersion Kayak 1 leaves off. We focus classroom time on river reading and hazards, pool time allows further exploration into edge control and roll techniques. Spend Saturday and Sunday on two local river runs polishing the principles of boat control. This is an excellent course for any paddler, looking to take beginning skills to the next level or dust off some skills that haven't been used in a while.

Full Immersion Kayak 2 is scheduled monthly year round. Call for details.

Outline:  Full Immersion 2

  • Practice reading a river
  • Start developing an intuitive roll on both sides in the pool and river
  • Refine beginning skills by developing efficient strokes and using the features of the river
  • Practice rolling in current

In the pool, You Will Need:

- Retention device for your glasses(i.e. Croakies, Chums, etc)
- Synthetic top (thermal underwear)
- Rain coat and rain pants
- Nylon shorts and/or swimsuit
- Towel and change of clothes for ride home

Optional Gear:
- Nose plugs
- Swim goggles

On the water, You Will Need:

- Tennis shoes or river sandals with wool socks or wetsuit booties
- Sunglasses with retention device (i.e. Croakies, Chums, etc)
- Sunscreen (SPF 30), lip balm (SPF 15)
- Sun hat, rain hat, and/or fleece hat
- Synthetic top and bottom (thermal underwear, heavier wt. for cooler weather)
- Rain coat and rain pants
- Nylon shorts and/or swimsuit
- Water bottle (1 quart)
- Towel and change of clothes for ride home
- Lunch and snacks

Optional Gear:
- Camera with film, batteries and dry storage

Meeting Place/Directions:
Full Immersion Classes are held in Portland and Bend. You will receive detailed instructions and a map with your confirmation packet.
