Location for this class will be determined by conditions.
The BCU 4 Star Assessment is the marking of a paddler being proficient in paddling in the sea. Areas of assessment include application of 3* flat water skills in the dynamic environment, rescues and use of tows, basic navigation and seamanship, and on-land skills that are pertinent to sea paddlers.
The BCU 4 Star Assessment will be scheduled periodically throughout the year. Call to reserve your spot in the next class.

BCU 4 Star Assessment
On the water, You Will Need:
- Tennis shoes or river sandals with wool socks or wetsuit booties
- Sunglasses with retention device (i.e. Croakies, Chums, etc)
- Sunscreen (SPF 30), lip balm (SPF 15)
- Sun hat, rain hat, and/or fleece hat
- Synthetic top and bottom (thermal underwear, heavier wt. for cooler weather)
- Rain coat and rain pants
- Nylon shorts and/or swimsuit
- Water bottle (1 quart)
- Towel and change of clothes for ride home
- Lunch and snacks
Meeting Place/Directions:
The BCU 4 Star Assessment meets at a location to be determined based on conditions. You will receive detailed instructions and a map with your confirmation packet.
