It's never too cold to keep your sea kayak rescue skills in top form when you're in a wave pool!! Join us for "Rescues in the Pool."
This 2.5 hour pool class is held in the wave pool at North Clackamas Aquatic Park and introduces deep-water rescue techniques for solo and group paddlers.
The class covers techniques for solo re-entry of a kayak following a wet exit as well as assisted drain and re-enter rescues involving two or more paddlers. It also covers basic safety concerns and safety related features of sea kayaks and paddling equipment.
Students should already be competent at the basic skills level and have practiced wet-exits. Rescues in the Pool is scheduled periodically throughout the winter. Call to reserve your spot in the next class.
We encourage people to bring their own boats to this class, but we can ofcourse provide any and all equipment needed. Helmets are required.
